Path Act 2025 Update News. The protecting americans from tax hikes (path) act of 2015 renewed and expanded several tax credits, and established procedures to forestall attempts to defraud the government. The path act expanded certain earned income credit disallowance rules to the child tax credit and american opportunity tax credit.
